What's that Banjo Tooie like DJ? I've seen it down the market for 8 quid unboxed.

But how the heck would you get UK games working on it?

You can probably chip them. But why bother when you can get Jap games for cheap?

Ah, but they charge £31 for shipping (well on the gray £10 Saturn atleast). I think you can get them in gamestation for less (but not gray).

So they do. Still, you can get an old school Gameboy for £8.45 including shipping. That's neat. And the N64 still works out at £22 with shipping, although the AV cable and controller add another £5 on if you want them.

I never owned one, but my childminder's son did. I vaguely remember playing a mario game on. That is vaguely. It was so long ago, but I wouldn't mind playing one again if I had the chance to.

I didn't know you had a N64. And no! @ DS. I'd play the puppy game on it, and that's it.

Not exactly. Smaller screen, different controls, if not limited since a N64 controller would be alot easier to use than a DS on the "same" game.
It's like you can get HP2 on all platforms. I have it on GBA, and it's very hard to control. Especially flying, but on a PS2, I bet it'd be a hell of a lot easier to control.

The DS version is boss. The same game, but with more features and a range of new aims and characters. You're missing out...

Not really, since I prefer the side scrolling marios.

Mario 64 without the analogue stick is sick and wrong, turning what was once a mighty, great king of the platforming genre into a stumbling, piss soaked drunk, vomiting in the gutter. Okay, so it's not THAT bad, but it's still nowhere near as good as the original.

I liked it with the stylus play. But then I am left-handed (the ONLY DS game that it is a benefits for the player to be left-hnded).

I loved my N64... looking back I am not sure why really...
I think it was the last console in which I had Nintendo WANGRAs as friends (well were not WANGRAs really... people who just like Nintendo games)... so playing Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, F-Zero, Smash Brothers etc. multiplayer was great as well as playing Mario 64, Paper Mario, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, Blast Corps, Pilot Wings 64 (not as good as the SNES one though), Jet Force Gemini (which I never completed... damn Rare trying to get me collect all those crappy things to carry on in the game despite stating earler that it was not neccessary... grrr...), Silicon Valley, also some Japanese game which was super weird... I remember controlling some giant robot..., etc.
Hmm... I guess that was why I liked the N64 so much...
Plus the controller was fantastic... made the analog stick a gaming neccesity, molded perfectly for my hand, the trigger button, and frankly any controller that allows you to play with one hand (well until you needed to press a button) gets extra kudo points from me.

I was looking back at Space Station Silicon Valley just last week as I was going to mention it in another topic! Did you know it was made by Rockstar of all people

Will I be lynched for saying that I recently downloaded an emulator and a pile of games to play on it, and found the N64 thoroughly underwhelming? Goldeneye still has a certain something about it, but compared to Halo feels somewhat dated. Of course, I AM trying to play these games on a PS1 pad, so that could be my problem. I'll map Halo's controls to Goldeneye and see if I can make it seem a bit less rubbish.

also some Japanese game which was super weird... I remember controlling some giant robot..., etc. That would have been Mystical Ninja, which was a great game and featured some catchy Japanese songs Space Station Silicon Valley really annoyed me, I could never complete it fully, though it was still a great game. Body Harvest was a pretty good game as well also from DMA (Rockstar North) though I was annoyed when I turned on my N64 one day and my save was erased for no apparent reason.

Though I was annoyed when I turned on my N64 one day and my save was erased for no apparent reason. The N64 was a classic for those sorts of irritations. The infamous Turok 2 problem made me want to bite the analog stick off!

I want to get it for my DS.
