Mine has to be (well, from the top of my head):
Completing Turricane on the C64, which my older to this day does not believe I did.
Beating my brother at Street Fighter 2 for the first time with Guile - For some annoying reason fighting games come naturally to him. I finally managed to beat him... but then we got Mario Kart and we didn't play Street Fighter for half a year (literally) and I was crap again... have not beat him at Street Fighter since. DAMN HIM! At least I'm better at Soul Calibur.
Beating my other oldest brother 100 times in a row on Mario Kart on the Snes. It was fun until we got to 30 and I got tired... but then he held me hostage and finally gave up on the 100th match...
Having a Mario Kart stand off on the Snes in the Battle Arena for an hour. One of us having a red shell and the other using a feather and hiding in one of the pools.
Being Bomberman prodigy... until my friends got sick of me winning and just started to gang up on me at the start of each game. Bomberman was never th same again...
None of those are probably my best retro gaming moment... but they are in the Top 20... 50? Hate gaming amnesia...

• Playing 'houses' on the Mario Kart Battle Mode.
• Meeting a giant mutant turtle in Super Probotector.
• Getting a Snes and inserting the Street Fighter II cartridge for the first time (the first 'console' my parents let me own and no doubt the beginning of my educational demise)
• My dad buying us kids an Atari STe with Chase HQ and Batman: The Movie
• Completing Shadowrun
• Finally perfecting Rainbow Road and winning the 150cc Special Cup on Mario Kart for the first time
• Making my own games on Klik and Play

How the hell did you manage that? What's the ending like? I was quite the devoted gamer when I was younger so completing them was important (if only I had the time to complete them now I can afford them!). In the end you fight and beat the dragon. Then the lying son of a bitch tells you that he'll be back in Shadowrun II. So overall not a patch on the excitement that reigned throughout. I only recently found out how different the Megadrive version was so I'm looking to play that through too.

I've never played Manic Miner, but Jet Set Willy was a right tosser. And I remember a possibly unofficial sequel, called Jet Set Scotty, where you were a fat bloke doing exactly the same shite. That was rubbish too. Back 2 Skool on the ZX Spectrum!

NOW YOU'VE SPOILED IT FOR ME. Not really, I was never going to manage to beat it. I've been trying for 13 years. Sorry but I wanted to let people know that the time they put into it, It's really not worth it. The ending to tetis is great though it ha[ens at 2 mill points
