"Super NES Games" "Starfox was renamed Starwing in the UK because of a copyright issue" "You don't see many of these anymore" "Part of a shop display i aquired in 1999 after the release of Poke Red/Blue" "Game Boy Games"

A friend was telling me about a mate of his from work who paid 45 quid inc p&p from ebay for an N64 and five games including, Mario 64, Mario Kart 64 and Goldeneye.
And to think mine is still under the TV gathering dust. I will start playing it again at somepoint.

My N64 is in it's original box since there is not enough plug sockets in my room to be able to set it up.

that reminds me I need to get mine back from my nephew, I'd just started to get back into zelda and goldeneye when he borrowed it. I still have my original box too.

I must be the only N64 owner who never bothered to play Goldeneye or Perfect Dark.

That's because Paper Mario is teh BEST GAME EVAR. That's one of the reasons i added a Paper Mario themed building to IV2, i don't know if you ever got that far though.

The N64 Expansion pack cost a whopping £30 at the time if you did'nt buy Donkey Kong 64 (which included one but even that was £60).
Rip off

DJ's right. Matey down the market a couple of years ago had a Donkey Kong 64 with expansion pack for 25 quid, but he'd let me have it for £20. I declined as I didn't have that sort of money to spare.
It was a right pain buying unboxed N64 games, getting em home, to find they don't work.

I'll say this for the olde days. In my C64 days, I was on the dole (no change there then). Top price games were a tenner, but budget were about £1.99-£2.99 and some of the budget titles were re-releases of full price games a year of two previously. So it was possible for me to get a couple of new games a week.
Now I rarely buy new titles due to finances (also due to a knackered PS2 that will hardly play any newer games) and get most of games down the market or off ebay.

It is a shame how much of the market is alienated and how many potential gamers could be put off by the increase in games prices
