Simple Question. What's your most favourite games machine manufacturer?

For me it's gotta be Sony simply because I've owned a PS1 and PS2 in my time being a gamer. I don't care that lots of people would say "OMG, you like teh big franchizes, why dyu not liek NiNtendo the best!!!" Sony's machine is what has given me most of my gaming experiences over the years.

the answer is obviously nintendo, but I'm not going to vote lest it validate the differing opinions in this topic.

There isn't one all time great console manufacturer, they're all flawed. I think common sense would go for either Nintendo or Sony, but Nintendo have been hopelessly out of their depth with home consoles for years and using cartridges on the N64 was STUPID (and don't get me started on the 64DD. That should forever be remembered as Lara Croft's bra size, not a console). On the other hand, PS2s are dramatically faulty, and Sony themselves seem to enjoy profiteering as much as they do inventing.
Sega consoles are quite sturdy, but the whole "let's release the Sega CD, 32X, and Saturn all in the space of three years" thing was bizarre.

My most used consoles over the years were Sega Master System and Megadrive. But the ultimate console was the Neo Geo. In 1994 it was arcade gaming in yer own home!!

This poll is to ask what company has given you more happiness than most. Happy voting.

Sony, of course. The consoles I play the most are my PS1 and PS2.

Nothing gives me a warm, fuzzy glow quite like a Nintendo game.

i favour the sony consoles simply cos you can't beat games like FF7 (and the other 2), Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, Gran Turismo, Tekken 3 and so many more all on one console and all pretty early on in the ps1's release.
Tekken 3 alone sold so many consoles in my area even amongs non-gamers (it truly was a beautiful game for its time).

I had to vote sony. They bought my hobby into mainstream acceptablity and thus gave me that nice warm glow In terms of Game machine it would be Sont that wins but it it were purely based on Gaming goodness then Ninty

This poll is to ask what company has given you more happiness than most..... For me the answer has to be Atari, with Nintendo running a close second. "Atari are dead, long live Atari!" TTFN - Pete.

Well the topic is all time greats, so i voted nintendo. Even tho i much prefer Sony these days, you have t admit Nintendo have been consistantly good (for the most part) since the console wars began.

Welcome to the forum Ensor :] If you can put up with shitty jokes and insults occasionally, you'll be alright here. Hope you stick with us. Thanks, this looks like an interesting place. I actually came across this site whilst I was trying to track down a video game "database" website which was mentioned on GC last week (the URL of which I neglected to note down). Still searching....
