For me it is Jeffrey Eugenides 'Middlesex', which I have enjoyed so much I have decided to use it for my Space, Place and Text assignment.

Wuthering Heights, as it's the only novel I've read for about 5 years. I mean, it's really hard to understand, but it's not that bad. I only read it because I was forced to, mind. And I bumraped the AS Level exam on it today, OOOOOH YEAH!

Moon Palace by Paul Auster. I'm currently reading five books at the same time, but that's the one I've read most recently. His writing still seems a little ugly, but the book is even more fabulous than I remembered.

not exactly a novel but the last decent book I read was the Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi its alledgedly the best selling classic samurai guide to strategy.

I read any old rubbish at the moment. I see from Jamie's post that he has the same problem.
