Personally, I enjoyed it and never expected greatness from it in the first place... however I think they did a good job with what they had.
It provides a resolution for FFVII that never occured ingame. Yes, Cloud saved the world... but he is left with a loss that never reached a conclusion.
Plus, the fight sequences were fantastic and I loved the artistic style choosen... I think I would of prefered this style to the 'realism' in Spirits Within.
Also now there is no need to play FFVII again with an extra showing the storyline in 20mins...

ah but I would have rather spent those 20 mins just playing FF7.
Yeah it was pretty good, however it did have a little bit of confusion in the storyline (especially when it was jumping back and forth to tifa talking to cloud and, and cloud going to the forest). The fight scenes were pretty amazing, and Reno and Rude did kick ass

I'm gonna get it because it does look rather good and has potential. Lets see how Square-Enix f**k it up (if at all)

FFVII is becoming Squenix' cash cow, Bastards.

Is Dirge of Cerberus the FPS? I heard it was truly dire.
I was considering getting Advent Children on UMD or, if considerably cheaper, on DVD. Is the animation good enough for me to fawn over despite my indifference to FF7?

dirge of cerberus isn't a FPS i don't think i think its a Third person shooter like devil may cry, as you play as vincent
Another reason i liked it is because Rude is voiced by the guy who voiced alucard in the english version of helsing personally he was more suited to vincent but thats just me.
Also the guy who voiced cloud and sephiroth where also the people who voiced them in kingdom hearts and the soon to be released kingdom hearts 2

I nearly bought this today. I had the DVD/UMD double pack in my hand, at the till, with Nanostray (DS) and Tales of Eternia (PSP). Then the cashier told me it'd be £68. And I looked shocked. And I said, "Oh yeah, things cost money. Woops." And I said, "Can I just get the PSP game then?" And I said, "Sorry about all this."
I'll get it some other time. Maybe after I finally complete Final Fantasy VII.
(Incidentally, Tales of Eternia is so f**king amazing. Best twenty notes I ever laid down.)

Even a non-existant girlfriend is better than one that only humps you for your money.

That's why I'm glad I never have any cash to spend on women. Means they can love me for who I really am. On a completely unrelated note, I am still single....

Reno and Rude are gods I wasn't expecting much from the FF7 movie so i was quite impressed.....Beats that awful Spirits within rubbish!!! "On a completely unrelated note, I am still single.... " - its safer and cheaper
