Review of Zatoichi DVD Collector’s Edition
No. of Discs - 2 Certificate - 18 Audio Track - Japanese Subtitles - English (Optional)
Zatoichi comes from the critically acclaimed director Takeshi Kitano (Hana-bi) and shows him to be back on top form with his latest outing. The film follows Zatochi (Takeshi Kitano), a blind swordsman with unparallel skill travelling from town to town helping those in need.
The film provides a fantastic blend between drama, comedy and action creating a charm that is utterly absorbing. The quality of the film is matched in The Collector’s Edition, which was worth the wait containing several extras and improvements.
I cannot recommend Zatoichi highly enough, a fantastic film and first rate DVD makes this an essential purchase for anyone’s DVD collection.
5/5

www.notlad.co.uk/zatoichi.htmMy own review. Get it before Freeola removes notlad.co.uk from the annals of internet history. Kitano pre-empts this film with a slapstick version of a film adaptation of the Zatoichi myth in an earlier film, Getting Any. It's hugely ridiculous and involves several instances in which the script resorts to poo jokes, but it's worth a gander if you're a fan of Zatoichi.

Nice review! (^_^)
I have heard of 'Getting Any', but I have not got round to watching it yet... but to be honest it is not really high on my list. Does sound interesting though.
