Me: having finally finished memoirs of a geisha's gash, I've taking out my frustrations (although the end of that book didn't bother me SO much) by reading American Psycho. Having seen the film about 4 times, it's like Christian Bale is right beside me, narrating the lines personally as I read them. Right there in my bed. Spooning me gently; his soft breathing playing across my neck and tickling my skin...*spooge*
Anyone else?

I've just finished reading Charlie Brooker's Screen Burn book. Surprisingly, there's only one book left laying around my room for me to read: the latest Paul Auster one. I seem to have developed a need to read his books after reading Moon Palace, despite the fact that mounting evidence suggests the quality of that book was a one-off.
Also: this isn't games-related, doofus.

I'm reading The World According To Jeremy Clarkson. It's really quite funny if you admire his kind of sense of humour. Ie, dry and sarcastic

I've just finished reading Michelle Cliff's 'Abeng' and its sequal 'No Telephone in Heaven'.
Both excellent if you are into postcolonial diaspora.

You can stay, I like you. You'd have thought that the word "diaspora" wouldn't seem at all exotic to a cultural studies student, but I encounter it very rarely. More words please. I'm reading: My Life in Orange Tim Guest Game On - The history and culture of videogames Lucien King (ed) The Sweat of the Gods Benjo Maso A moustache, poison and blue glasses Svend Novrup Trigger Happy Steven Poole (again) The Video Game Theory Reader Mark J.P. Wolf & Bernard Perron (eds) Reading so many books at once tends to blur facts a little, as content merges. In my head, Bhagwan is playing Doom whilst leading the Tour de France.

I read Wrong About Japan by Peter Carey, because I got it for my birthday. It was not bad. The writing was quite big and it's not very long!
