I might have done something like this before, but I failed. I failed because YOU did not help me. Let's do it properly this time. It's quite simple, I name a song that's been kicking my arse recently, and you go off and get it, reporting back whether you though it was gay, pretty damn good, only alright or just shit, and then you do the same for me. I'll do my best to get every song you recommend. OOh, me first: Blind faith - presence of the lord (yeah, stop laughing at the back) Edit: Also, I thought it was about time someone made a new topic. If I had an imagination I'd make more, but I don't

I can't "get it" because Limewire doesn't work with AOL wireless. And buying is for chumps. Send it to me over MSN.

None too shabby, but not really my sort of thing. I think it'd be better if I was on drugs.
Stinkfist by Tool. Well good.

the tool one was alright, wasn't feeling the blind faith song.
my suggestion would be Hey Joe, a) because I'm learning to play it and b) because songs about killing your woman are cool.

I've already got hey joe and stinkfist, but I'll listen to them both again, just for you's guys.
Stinkfist - One of my favourite Tool songs. Wonderful drumming in parts. Unpredictable, but it doesn't wander too far from main riff, which is good.
Hey Joe - Bluesy, bassy brilliance. At first I disliked it because it doesn't kick into anything straight away, but it's a song that rewards patience.
Couple more recommendations (feel free to do more that one!)
The decemberists - leslie anne levine Television - Venus
I'll send you something good harold.

slither was pretty good, I've never heard anything by the velvet revolver, but a mate was telling me how they share something in common with guns and roses.
Instantly I was repelled, but this song was pretty catchy and listenable. Nothing too clever, but I'm easy.

Decemberists was ok, innofensive to my ears. But I wouldn't necessarily call it a Schlag! Schlag means hit in German! Two good bars in Berlin are The Irish Pub in the Europa Center and Sports Bar-Saloon. Good indeed. Or are they the only ones I went to? Eh? A good drink was called Desperados. Can anyone tell me the name of that breakdancing song? It goes Doo-doo doo-doo doo do-do-doooo do do-do do do do-do-do.
Laika by the arcade fire. And most of that album.

No, I haven't got them yet. I blame massive, irreversible harddrive failure for this.
(any excuse)

Laika was pretty decent, but INDIE! It all starts to sound the same after a while...
Blue hawaiian by pavement. Sounds a bit like sonic youth, but more melodic.

You monged it up and it wasn't that good to begin with! However, if you have an mp3 of it somewhere, I'll distribute it for you.
50 million year trip (downside up) by Kyuss. This song rocks more than any other song has ever rocked and that isn't hyperbole.

I am now. Not all of them...the ones that I like. If those guys want to send you their favourite tracks, I guess that's up to them.

Rrhys rrecommends Immortal by Clutch. My brother has a Kyuss album. Blues for the Red Sun. I didn't like it very much when i listened to it several years ago. I shall acquire this song and give feedback.

Actually, I like this song. Don't know what my younger self was thinking. Some people from Kyuss went on to form Queens of the Stone Age, didn't they?

Well, I used to know the links/history etc between the two bands. But yeah, what you said basically, apparently the singer from kyuss, john garcia, made an appearance at a QOTSA concert recently. I should probably go and watch them sometime, before I die.
Nick oliveri was kicked out of QOTSA for being a bit of a twat, but his band mondo generator wasn't very successful commercially (although they did some good songs: 13th floor, which nicked a riff from a QOTSA track, pigman and shawnette are standout efforts) Josh homme is still with QOTSA, and mark lanegan sings on some tracks by them, but his solo material really shines. Especially 'bubblegum'.

I found some guy on DC++ who has 34 ayumi hamasaki albums. It's not you?
Anyway, it's downloading. Very slowly.
Edit: Clutch was goooodbuuuut the singers voice is crap, reminds me of monster magnet. If it was an instrumental I think I'd like it more
