Mysterious Skin.
I also discovered The Barbarian Invasions, 15, and Unfaithfully Yours, but none of them were released in 2005.

I 'unno.
If we're going by shit I've seen in the cinema, then king kong and a history of violence were the most badass, but narnia and star wars ROTS weren't very badass at all (although general grievous was)
As for teevee stuffs, scanners was prolly the best thing, and zatoichi from harold was boss.

Howl's moving castle is good but it's not as good as spirited away (in my opinion)

War of the worlds Narnia Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire King Kong was good but not as much as I expected. i reckon King Kong was far better than the other 3 (although i haven't actually seen Potter). ive seen Kong twice on the cinema and think it was probably the best film of the year. i thought Narnia was rubbish and WotW average. but then again i didn't much like the LOTR films either. to each his own as they say.

King Kong lacked something fun and I don't know how it managed to fit 3 hours as it was just not THAT interesting. It was a good film, but I was expecting better.

I saw The Family Stone in german, in Germany, and it was good because we laughed at the wrong bits and we probably annoyed all the germans in the cinema and my friend who doesn't drink got drunk and then me and my other friend stole his pyjamas!
I really liked Land of the Dead and Kung Fu Hustle.

Land of the Dead had the worlds most terrible ending. I've seen every zombie film I could get my hands on, and I didn't enjoy it. I can safely name either Kung Fu Hustle or Doom as the worst movies of the year. And Saw 2 as one of the best. 40 year old virgin would have to be the best comedy I saw

Saw 2 was the best film I saw last year by a mile. The Skeleton Key weren't as bad a some people made out. Dark Water was OK, but I still preferred the Jap original.

I enjoyed both the original and remake of Dark Water, both were superb films.

Kung Fu Hustle was good, the new Harry Potter was better than the last one and The Brothers Grim was much better than I thought it was going to be. Wolf Creek has got to be the shittest film of the year though.

Worst film of 2005 was Ring 2. What were they thinking of when they made that.

Worst Film: Dukes of Hazzard ... Though I can't deny I'd like to screw Miss Simpson in that 'Boot's are made for Walking' video.

Worst film of 2005: Alexander Strangely, I quite enjoyed that one. I do think that Oliver Stone greatly overestimated the destructive potential of elephants though.

It was funny as hell, plus it was a great parody (note the guys flailing in the background whilst waiting to fight) 2) I know you've seen every Zombie film, you made me watch dawn of the dead, however is land of the dead less scary and gory? Oh and don't EVER try and make me watch saw or saw 2. 3) I'll agree with you on the 40yr Old Virgin, that was very funny, especially where the asian man is going on about dirty sanchez' etc. 4) Doom was ALWAYS gonna be shit, it's a film about a game...don't remind me of mario bros....
