Is there anything worth taping off telly these days? I mean does the generally poor quality of digital broadcasts justify buying a DVD recorder. What about something more worthwile. I wish someone would come up with add free channels. I'd glady pay £100s for a add free pluggin of somesort. Don't you just hate how the volume increases when adds come on and how much longer there are on digital channels compapred to terrestrial. Actualy the volume dosn't increase, it is just advertisers use digital audio compression and effects which have more "punch" than normal Tv programs, as they have more "punch" to them they seem to sound louder. |

Yup and as it is you hear it as if it were louder, it is a neat trick really, the only reason normal tv programs don't use it is it would take longer to make the program and cost more.

Molov has a point, most people wouldn't notice any difference, they may think the adverts are a bit quieter but they wouldn't really care.
