yesterday i went to Exeter and was able to buy some cheap videos from the MVC sale, each cost only £3.99 and i was very pleased with my bargains...

The Transporter

Action film directed by Cory 'So Close' Yuen. Good movie this and although it is'nt as good as So Close, it is still a highly enjoyable feature.

Phone Booth
----------------
A surprisingly enjoyable film about Colin Farrell being trapped by a sniper in a phone booth, better than it sounds.

Road To Perdition
---------------------
gangster film set in the 1930's. very stylish with good performances from Tom Hanks and Paul Newman.

Starship Troopers 2

Nothing like the original but i did'nt expect it to be anyway. This is best described as a low-budget sci fi shocker which is similar to a film called Pitch Black. Don't expect too much and you will enjoy the buckets of gore and claustrophobic situation that the characters are in.

In a local discount shop I could have got a 3 video set which included Phone Booth and Fight Club for £2.99

I got SIGNS (VHS) starring Mel Gibson for 99p from the local Woolies. I can't stand the film but it will make for an excellent present for someone I know who does like it.

(Just a thought; In Phone Booth if Colin Farrell's character had a second mobile he would't have need to use phone booth, thus avoiding the Sniper)

but his calls from the phone booth were to the woman he was seeing behind his wifes back. He did'nt use his mobile phone otherwise she would have seen hwo he'd been calling on the bills.

Its a fair point though, if I start losing interest in a film while watching it I don't pay much attention. Example Oceans Eleven, Watched first half hour and suddently thought GEORGE CLOONEY and BRAD PITT planning a Casino Robbery, THERE BOUND TO GET AWAY WITH IT'S GEORGE and BRAD!!
