I keep getting BSOD's within minutes of booting up (XP). one of them says PFN_LIST_CORRUPT and the other says IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
This has happened 5 times in the last ten minutes and it's beginning to piss me right off. Do you know what's wrong?

seems like a driver problem, it should come up with something like this. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Technical information: *** STOP: 0x000000D1 (ox20000001, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0xF6EA8BBF) *** USBPORT.SYS - Address F6EA8BBF base at F6E8F000, DateStamp 3f04cf17 Beginning dump of physical memory Physical memory dump complete now what you need to tell me is what the usbport.sys part is on yours, that will give me an idea as to what driver is causing the problem, I would sugest you uninstall all drivers you have updated in the last month or so from safe mode, and try reinstalling the older versions. Also it depends opon what mouse you use, but if it is a logitech one check out this MS KB article support.microsoft.com/?kbid=810980I have heard of some ATI drivers causing problems like this recently, I use Catalyst 4.7's and have no problems. if none of this works I will scratch my head a little more.

I heard about bad drivers, and this HAS been happening since I updated my catalyst drivers, so that is probably it. I'll get back to you.
No logitech mouse though. Also, I've seen a few threads where people have been saying that my HD could be on it's way out! I hope not.

it could be your hard drive, but it will likely still be under waranty, and in general hdd's fail with in 6 months if they have a flaw, otherwise they last about 5-6 years. if these errors have caused hard drive problems then a reinstall of windows (after a full format of course) will generaly solve them.

It was so f**king gay how they covered her death on the news that morning instead of showing cartoons.

It was so f**king gay how they covered her death on the news that morning instead of showing cartoons. I was watching Rugrats when a bigblue banner started scrolling across the screen telling people to turn over to Sky News. They didn't do that with any other news story like 9-11 or anything though.

It was also gay how they had the coverage of the death of the queen mother on both BBC channels when it was happening.

It was also gay how they had the coverage of the death of the queen mother on both BBC channels when it was happening. I tended to dislike the news about her on her birthday. It was my birthday too and no one bothered to do news stories about me.

It was so f**king gay how they covered her death on the news that morning instead of showing cartoons. I got up at 6am to watch teenage mutant ninja turtles on nikelodeon and they had text saying turn to channel 241 for important news

Blocking up that tunnel. Caused a hell of a lot of traffic jams in Paris, I'd imagine. Just because she was princess of Wales, people thought my mum (Welsh) would particularly care.
Has lesalanos' problem actually been sorted out?

Well, gee, thanks for finally getting back on topic.
It hasn't happened since I read about GD's solution. Presumably my pc is monitoring my every move and is waiting until I let my guard down to strike again.
