Well I've always wanted to make a wearable console, as in, pull apart a GBA/Gamecube/PS2 etc. and sew it onto clothing then wire the parts back up. You couldn't go far in it though since you'd need to be near a plug, but hey, it'd be a conversation piece!

Wearable console: for people who think a Gameboy is too compact. Actually, in theory I could probably make a wearable Gamecube. So long as you spread the weight around, say, the whole of an army jacket and wire it well so as to not get electrocuted in the rain, it'd work. The screen issue would be expensive though, and control would be a bit daft. EDIT: And fix solar panels to the back of the jacket in order to power it. Wait. Sciencey-types, help me out here. You know when you could power a clock or whatever from a potato by jabbing the metal doo-dah into it... would that kind of thing work on the human body? I'd imagine there'd by MUCH more energy output. Plus you could have an eXistenZ style socket for it in your back. OK admins, I'm a f**king retard, make that link work for me. <-- Can't use html on PB, UBB code only (quote this post to see how to do it)

That'd just hurt. Although I guess if you had about 2 tons of potatoes and lemons you could power it for about 2 minutes.

Existenz was weird. And there's capitalisation in all the wrong places. It's blowing my mind just thinking about it.

I have a Platinum Cube with Ltd ed 5.4" Platinum Screen. I decided I actually wasn't geeky enough to purchase the battery which fits underneath and provided around two hours play. Which probably meant it gave you an hour's play at best.
Not a lot of screens around for it now, so it would seem. There's a definite demand but they're hella expensive. We started selling them (during my time at GAME) for around a hundred. This went down to 70, then 50. Then I grabbed it off the shelf when I found out it was dropping to 30 the following week. Add in my staff discount and reward voucher and I paid around seven quid for the little beauty. It has been used twice in over a year - Woo bloody hoo!
You can easily connect the PS2 or XBox to it but of course it doesn't fit on them. I considered making a joypad/screen hybrid for this purpose but once again realised I wasn't geeky enough anymore.
