Looking for an MP3 player which is reliable and has these specs: 1gb flash memory Folder support Voice recording Support for 320kbs bitrates Optional: FM radio. It must have the 4 above. I've seen a few which meet those requirements but they've either been makes I've never heard of, or websites which Ive read bad reviews about. I'm looking to spend around £70 or less - but this means I have to get the cheaper makes for that 1gb. I was thinking of getting a creative muvo micro n200 as they are £90 inc. vat and del. from ebuyer whereas they are £100+ anywhere else. Problem is if it buggers up, ebuyers customer service is nearly non existent (I got my PC from there no probs though.) So, Im asking if any of you can find one with those specs, which is good and hopefully from a reputable retailer. This is a nice one I've seen from ebay, trouble is I dunno if it's gonna break in a few days... cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=80020&item=5779331410&rd=1

I have a nice samsung one that is 1gb, unfortunatly it is a discontinued model (I think) and I don't know if thier new ones are any good, though my one has worked fine for ages and has played every mp3 I have put on it (including a 2038kbs monster) it has all the features you pointed out up there.

I'm sure I saw one matching those credentials advertised for £59.99 in a leaflet for Kwik Save. It's probably just a Scouse thing, but still worth a look...

get one that plays ogg vorbis, as GD says that is a lossless format. Or something, I don't understand most of his techno babble (I'm trying!)

yeah those Rios are pretty good actualy, and Jamie I have started using my player in my car, I had to get a new cd player put in that had the input socket though. Plus 2048kbs was the highest it would go, I encoded many tracks at high bitrates to see what it could play, even though it is no better than a 1024kbs track in sound as mp3s don't really gain much in sound quality from very high bitrates.

mp3s: for tossers
That'd be my marketing slogan if I ever got hold of a contract to advertise an mp3 player. Advertising that doesn't lie; it's the way forwards.

What the f**k? I said I wouldn't trust it because it's a rio. I was going to get that rio I mentioned in my first post until I read lots of reviews that said they were really unreliable and break a lot. The whole lot of you are really pissing me off today. mp3s: for tossers That'd be my marketing slogan if I ever got hold of a contract to advertise an mp3 player. Advertising that doesn't lie; it's the way forwards. Tell me how a CD player which is big and skips if it is knocked is better than a flash based MP3 player?

Seen that player hundreds of times. Looks cheap and tacky and doesn't have any inbuilt memory by the looks of it. I'll stick to the muvo or that one from advanced mp3 players.

I think he has an iRiver or something like that, he has talked about it in another thread, unfortunatly searching for Matt Beeching MP3 player came up with nothing of note, it is a fairly old thread though.
