See if someone would have said that but for PSP instead of DS, they'd've been shot But because you said it for Nintendo I think everyone shall praise you for it XD

I have to say the DS, mainly because I cannot think of any games on the PSP that would warrent a purchase... I think the DS has a better selection of alternative games that the PSP does not have. Plus, I generally like Nintendo games, so I know there are always going to be games for me to play.
I just really wish more graphic adventure and strategy games would take advantage of the console just to widen its appeal and to take better advantage of what the console has to offer.
I am definately buying a white DS Lite when it comes out here.
In fact my older brother will be buying a white PSP soon (for Pro Evo and Football Manager) so I guess I will get the best out of both consoles. Wohoo!
Now all I need is a white Ipod...

The DS and PSP are both great consoles which makes a nice change in the handheld market. I'm getting more and more inclined to agree the DS is the more logical purchase as to put it plain and simple it offers a different experience to its big brothers. I still love playing Ridge Racer and good old Lumines (and Emu's, ahem) and have no regrets about owning a PSP, indeed i'm glad I waited on the Nintendo as the DS lite is hella pretty.

DS still wins it, but the PSP is a great bit of kit to have around. I can get games going when I'm hanging around, listen to music when I'm working, and watch the 1up Show when I'm feeling antisocial. Lumines, Me & My Katamari, and Metal Gear Ac!d are fantastic (although the latter is, ironically, considerably less intelligent than its big brother), and the rerelease of Breath of Fire III provided me with an opportunity to revisit a forgotten classic. In fact, Grand Theft Auto and Championship Manager are also great for wasting a bit (/lot) of time. Hell, I've even got a UMD for it (28 Days Later).
You'll have to prise my shiny white Japan-only PSP (GIGA Pack at that -- Christ, I'm made of money) from my cold dead hands. I'm less protective of my DS itself, largely because it's so sturdy that it doesn't need much protection at all, but I still love it the most.

Should be one for "middleground"
PSP does it's job. DS does it's job. I don't own a psp, but I've played on my b/fs. He only has two games on it at the moment as he only got it a couple weeks ago, but GTA is pretty fun. It's good for storing music on and movies, n' what not. DS is good for it's touch screen technology and the ability to draw on it/chat on it with the stylus.
Both have good and bad points, I don't hold one over the other in terms of the actual machines. I just don't own a psp because there aren't enough games out there for it to hold my interest. Same thing happened with Xbox. I didn't get one 'cus there weren't enough games available on it to hold my interest.

You'll have to prise my shiny white Japan-only PSP (GIGA Pack at that -- Christ, I'm made of money) from my cold dead hands. My brother wants to buy a white PSP, can you tell me where you have got yours? We are considering LIk-Sang, but the shipping puts the price up way to much... but we found www.gigstop.co.uk/ which sells it for £159.99 and free p&p. And dynastygal, cool avator... can you tell me which anime it is from?

www.yesasia.comThey're a little more expensive than Lik-Sang, but the express postage is free (should take less than a week to arrive) and they pay all import duties and VAT so you won't be lumbered with a £50+ bill when it turns up on your doorstep. Edit: Never heard of gigstop.co.uk, but the prices seem alright. If you trust the site, I'd just go with them.
