We now have only 3 fit strikers and our likely opponents after we beat Ecuador are either Portugal or Holland.
We're f*cked.

We're proper f**ked, but michael owen is no loss. England just seem lazy.
I've enjoyed watching the underdogs playing; the teams nobody expects anything from. But bless 'em, they play their little hearts out.
Case in point: Japan. My fave team was trampled by the aussies, but they cheated 'cos they're bigger and 'arder.

I agree about watching the underdogs playing. South Korea getting a point off France and USA battling with 9 men for the most of the second half against ten man Italy were watchable games.
Tonights game should be good, Argentina v Holland. But don't expect full strength teams as both of them have more than a few players on yellow cards.

argentina vs mexico was totally boss last night, as far as football games go. I'm glad argentina got through, I'm sure they can put the shits up any of the teams they might go on to face.

Let's hope they play against Germany then.
Still, England V Ecuador later today, let's hope our team don't play like pussies again.

Ah well, 1-0 to England.
Still room for improvement but they played better than they did in the Sweden match.

If we manage somehow to beat Portugal on Saturday, we are then likely to face Brazil in the Semi Final

That would be a good warmup for Argentina in the final.

Who else saw Thierry Henry hit the deck last nite against Spain, clutching his nose in supposed agony after being brushed by Puyol's elbow in the chest.
What a disgrace!!

I agree that the Portugal v Holland game was the best so far, but Argentina v Mexico ran them close.
My local has a fair percentage of Portugese customers. Should make for an entertaining 90 minutes on Saturday.
