VLC was always the best video player but I switched to KMPlayer a while back too. Better subtitles, it links CD1's and 2's, plays 720p better, plays crappy little videos better (flv and gp3) and genrally looks nicer (with an additional skin - I recommend Noir) www.kmplayer.com/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=2. Controls need setting up though (full screen) and some other stuff but it's worth it.

For most stuff I still use media player classic, though my music is now on iTunes, partly because I couldn't find anything better to sync my music with my macbook, and partly because it is better than wmp (and it works with my pod of i's)

VLC is the bad boy for all file formats and looks fine too!!!

Welcome Razer,
I agree, VLC is the dogs bollocks, it seems to play anything without a need for codecs so it seems. A few things wouldn't play on media player/realplayer/etc yet play straight away on VLC
